Imarku makes a variety of others styles too, should you find these not to be your taste.\n\nThe blades are serrated and they have little trouble cutting through anything you'd put in your mouth. Serrated edges tend to stay sharp longer than flat edges, so I'm expecting these knives to have a long service life while needing very little attention. When it eventually comes time to sharpen serrated edges, you need more than a standard sharpening stone to get them sharp again - but in my opinion, this is a fair tradeoff. Just take good care of the blade, don't put them in the dishwasher, and it will stay sharp for a very long time.\n\nOverall, I think these knives represent a very good value in a mid-tier steak knife. They look good, perform well and generally get the job done while keeping the cost per knife low.
